Image to Text (OCR) extracts printed text from images using the Tesseract OCR engine, which runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly. How it works

Tesseract 5 (tesseract.js) runs in the browser via WebAssembly. The image is preprocessed (grayscale, contrast adjustment) to improve recognition accuracy, then passed to Tesseract which analyzes connected components, identifies word shapes, and matches them against its language model. The selected language pack determines which characters Tesseract recognizes.
